RICHMOND 21 JUNE ARTISAN FOOD FAYRE
Around 25 stall holders from throughout the country are coming to town on Sunday 21 June (first of three dates this year 23 August and 25 October as well) to provide us with the chance to treat ourselves to some unusual and delicious produce. Everything from buffalo to artisan bakery and lots more in between 10-4 in the Town Hall, Market Place and Trinity Square. Free event and possibly a little live music too. Hog Roast and some street food too. Yummy!

RICHMOND TOWN CHRISTMAS FAIR MEETING
Due to the popularity of the idea of having a Town Christmas Fair and the success and enthusiasm shown at the first meeting, a second meeting is being held on 16 April at 5.30 pm in the Town Hall. Hopefully even more local people will come along to offer their support and any help they can to the 6th December RICHMOND TOWN CHRISTMAS FAIR. So far ideas for entertainment, children's activities in the library, stalls, marquee, ice rink, animals and more are in the pot..IF YOU LIVE, WORK OR PLAY IN RICHMOND and would like to be involved come along on 16 April. CHRISTMAS FAIR MEETING part 2
Due to the success of the first meeting, when over 30 people attended, to discuss the potential of a RICHMOND TOWN CHRISTMAS FAIR on 6 December, a second meeting is being held on 16 April 2015 at 5.30pm in the Town Hall..hope to see even more people come along. So far suggestions are a marquee to house attractions, stalls etc., an offer of an ice rink, potentially an entertainment stage in the town centre, Punch & Judy, live owls on display, food and beverage stands, gift fair in the Town Hall and more. The second meeting will be to put in place who will be able to do what, take part, finance etc., if you want to know more prior to April then get in touch. 10 March 10.30 RICHMOND CHRISTMAS FAIR Meeting at The Town Hall Richmond North Yorkshire. An invitation to attend is extended local businesses, community groups, charities, retailers, hoteliers, entertainers, individuals and all who are interested in participating in some way, be it large or small, with the first RICHMOND CHRISTMAS FAIR in the town on Sunday6 December. The Fair is being organised to encourage more visitors, to increase the potential of the town, and to enhance the existing community spirit and provide a wonderful festive event in the town.

Plans are under well under way for a wonderful new event in the Christmas calendar of Richmond in 2015. On Sunday 6 December the Town Hall, part of Trinity Square and as needed the Market Place area will be home to a very festive Christmas Market. Already bookings are coming in for stands both inside and out for crafts, food and drinks, gifts, and all things festive and wonderful. BR Events are hosting this new venture in the town, and as local residents themselves they want to encourage other local businesses, shops, community groups, musicians, organisations, schools and local people to become involved. Bridget (who runs BR Events) is asking for anyone who is interested in taking part in any way at all, to get in touch. The aim of the event is to bring more people into Richmond in December to enjoy the Fair and also support the wonderful shops and enjoy the great businesses and all Richmond has to offer, "we want everyone to have a fantastic festive experience and MAKE THE TOWN SPARKLE". Around 18 stands of festive goodies, gifts and Christmassy things at the a Town Hall on Tuesday 2nd December between 9.30-3.30 with a festive feel, music and generally a great way to find some amazing gifts, crafts, unusual jewellery, fashions, collectables. ...some great presents for the men in your life, plus something for you too. Time to treat yourself too...
ARTISAN FOOD FAYRE delicious delights
The second Richmond Artisan Food Fayre was a roaring success with an estimated nearly 600 people coming through the doors throughout the day. Bulging bags of gorgeous produce was bought by delighted shoppers and happy traders went home asking when the next one will be..next year actually when we have three dates provisionally booked...traders had travelled from Cumbria, Northumberland, Knaresborough and some more local venues and the quality of the products and the variety took some by suprise..have you tasted pear brioche (hand crafted and straight from the oven) how about chocolate coconut vodka...maybe a sliver of ginger and spring onion sausage made from rare breed meat ..just one or two of the new palletable delights on offer. Looking forward to next year when more treats will be coming to Richmond.
